In this lively, hands-on writing workshop, sponsored by the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia, award-winning memoirist and writing teacher Jennifer Browdy guides you through the early steps of envisioning and crafting your memoir.
- How do you determine what stories to tell, especially if you have had a long and complex life?
- What life lessons might you share that could benefit others coming along behind you?
- How can you use your memoir writing as a contemplative practice, looking back in order to understand the present more fully, and to step with great joy and intention into the thriving future you seek to create, for yourself and those around you?
No prior writing experience is necessary; this workshop will be valuable for anyone interested in using personal writing as a tool for self-understanding, as well as those in the early stages of writing a memoir.
The workshop takes place at the Lunenburg School of the Arts in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, on July 18 from 6 – 8 pm, and July 20 from 6 – 8 pm.
