Come away to Italy with me next spring, for a week of riding and writing in good company at Il Paretaio!
Dressage lessons on well-trained horses are available for all riding levels; we’ll ride in the morning and write in the afternoon, taking time also to relax and explore the delights of Tuscany in springtime.
The tour will run from May 20 – 27, 2023. The cost is 1050 euros (approximately $1,125 USD) per person for double occupancy, and includes breakfast, dinner, five writing workshop sessions, as well as your room at the lovely traditional inn for 7 nights.
Not included is your airfare; accident insurance (49 euros); alcoholic beverages at dinner, and lunches (available a la carte from the inn); and transfers from Florence Railway Station (90 euros per person for single passenger; we will try to coordinate as a group, in which case we can get transfer for up to 6 people for 140 euros total).
The writing aspect of this tour will focus on how you can use the time-honored tradition of travel writing and journaling to sharpen your skills of description and storytelling.
You don’t have to “be a writer” or have a “work in progress” to enjoy and benefit from the lively, place-based writing we’ll be doing together. You’ll come away from this trip with a notebook or folder filled with evocative writing that goes to the heart of your experience on this memorable week.
