Riding & Writing in Italy!

May 24 @ 8:00 am - May 31 @ 5:00 pm

Come away to Italy with me next spring, for a week of riding and writing in good company at the beautiful Castello di Santa Cristina!

Set into the expansive hill country between Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio, the Castello is a luxury riding resort that will also provide wonderful accommodations for our daily writing practice.

We will ride in the morning, write after lunch, and explore nearby Orvieto and other hill towns in the afternoons, including a trip to a very special hot spring spa, the Terme di Vulci!

The trip will run from May 24 – 31, 2026. Click here to learn more about rates and how to hold your spot!

Writing

Daily writing workshops will focus on inspiring prompts that encourage contemplative reflection on your past, with an eye to living more joyfully in the present and in the ever-unfurling future.

Writers of memoir, fiction and poetry are welcome; the writing sessions can be tailored to the needs of the group. There will be time for you to work on your own writing projects, participate in a writers’ sharing circle if you wish, and book individual coaching sessions with Jennifer.

Over the course of the week, you will feel your creative spirit rise, buoyed by the marvelous synergy of Riding and Writing with a group of kindred spirits.

Riding

Riders of all levels can be accommodated on this trip. Less confident riders can take lessons in the arena, offered by encouraging, skillful instructors. Trail rides through the beautiful countryside are a highlight, including a longer excursion to a nearby lake.

Accommodations

We’ll stay in comfortable rooms at the Castello and annex, with bathrooms en suite.

Find out here more about accommodations and pricing for single or shared rooms.

Excursions

Most days we’ll head out together after Riding & Writing for a stimulating tour of a nearby town or other attraction, where we’ll have an a la carte dinner.

Click here to see the day by day itinerary for the trip.

Space on this tour is limited, so don’t wait too long to book your spot! Let me know if you have any questions.

Andiamo–let’s go!
