Purposeful Memoir as a Quest for a Thriving Future: Seeking Courage, Learning from our Ancestors
October 31, 2021 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
On Halloween, the veils between the spirit realm and our present reality are said to grow more permeable. Join me on a thought-provoking quest into the past to explore how courage has manifested in your own life, and in the lives of your ancestors.
Even if you don’t know much about your ancestors, purposeful memoir can help you explore how they may have faced the challenges of their time and place.
In a lively 90-minute live online workshop, we’ll make use of the techniques of purposeful memoir to communicate with the ancestral voices that live on inside your memory and imagination, as well as to explore moments of courage you’ve encountered in your own life experience.
Whether you are already embarked on a memoir project, or just want to spend some productive time writing about your life in good company, this transformative series of workshop sessions will give you new insights and entry points into your life story.
Each session offers open-ended writing catalysts that will get you thinking more deeply about both the high points and the challenges of your life experience.
Optional sharing, using my time-tested protocol for positive, non-evaluative peer feedback, will offer opportunities for deep listening to self and others, as we honor the commonalities and differences among those in our circle.
