Water: Entering the cultural stream of your time and place
Join me for a lively online writing workshop exploring what I call the “Water years”: the teenage and young adult decade from ages 13 – 23, when we join the cultural stream of our time and place and begin to mature into an independent young person stepping out into the world.
Did you contentedly go with the flow of your education, culture and peer group? Or were you more of a non-conformist, swimming against the tide? Were you the kind of young person who floated sunnily along, or did you flail and splutter your way through the teenage years?
Who were the people that influenced you and made a positive difference in your life in those important years? How did the cultural constraints and possibilities of your time and place determine your perceptions of the doors that were open to you?
Drop in online for a deep dive into these crucial formative years, in a fast-paced and fun writing workshop! 2 – 4 pm EST.
